Parkdale Community Food Bank
1316 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario
The Parkdale Community Food Bank sits in the well-known Parkdale-High Park area, home to places such as Sunnyside Beach, The Canadian National Exhibition and Ontario Place. For the last six years we've made it our mission to provide food for those in need, the hungry and the impoverished. At the height of the housing bubble crisis, we've seen an increase of single men and women who'd gone from being the working poor barely able to make their rent, let alone scrounge for money to purchase food.

Nothing serves to protect human rights more effectively than when we stand up for each other's rights. That is the very essence of Peace Brigades International. In doing so, Peace Brigades brings courage, humanity and vigilance to the front lines of human rights violations and makes a real difference in the lives of women, men and young people working for equality and justice in their communities.
