- Fire Training Certificate - College of the Rockies
The College of the Rockies' 2-year Criminal Justice Diploma prepares students for a career and/or further education in Criminal Justice or related fields. Students will acquire not only an understanding of criminal justice-relevant issues in Canada and the world but also the practical, academic skills required for the criminal justice field, such as analytical reasoning, communication, critical thinking, and research.
- First Responder Training for Fire and Police - Justice Institute of British Columbia
The Justice Institute of British Columbia's First Responder (FR) Training for Fire and Police program provides 8 FR courses. Five of these courses are FR training courses exposing fire and police personnel to the knowledge and skills to become certified and licensed FRs. The remaining 3 courses train future instructors of the aforementioned 5 courses.
- Fire Service: Evaluator Certification Program - Justice Institute of British Columbia
The Justice Institute of British Columbia's Fire Service Evaluator Certification Program provides standardized training for Fire Department and Regional Evaluators. The Program has been 'designed to satisfy requirements of accrediting bodies, the Ministry of Advanced Education and the fire service,' and 'provides the Fire and Safety Division with a documented process by which evaluators are selected, trained and certified as either a Fire Department or Regional Evaluator.'

The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC), via the Fire and Safety Division, offers a 12-week Career Fire Fighter Pre-employment Certificate Program. The latter provides training to 'meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Standard, Fire Fighter I and II,' and 'Hazardous Materials Response to the Operations Level and to First Responder Level III including Automatic External Defibrillators and Spinal Management.'

The Chief Fire Officer Professional Designation Program, which is voluntary, aims 'to recognize Chief Fire Officers who have achieved a defined standard of professionalism.'
