Most universities offer an environmental engineering program either via their civil or chemical engineering departments.
For undergraduate degree programs in environmental engineering, completion of high school is required with an average of at least 70-80%. Generally, English, math, and physics are required. Chemistry and biology are recommended.
To get into BCIT's environmental engineering technology degree program, students must have a previous diploma of technology in engineering, science or natural resource management, or a degree in engineering, science, or natural resource management. As well, at least 6 months of relevant work experience is required.
