Prerequisites for Graduate Studies in Environmental Engineering |
A previous degree in a related discipline (eg. engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering) with a minimum B+ average is required for admission to a graduate-level program in environmental engineering. Some schools also require some form of advanced experience in an environmental, civil, or chemical engineering environment (eg. co-op, directed studies, industry experience, etc).
Admission to a PhD program can either be directly from an undergraduate degree (in addition to already having extensive research experience and exceptional marks), or after acquiring a relevant Master's-level degree.
As all graduate programs require a supervisor, most schools require this person to be approved prior to final admission.
