What services does your organization provide? We provide parents an oportunity to connect with other parents, develope conections to the community.
Do you have any age requirements?
We require a kitchen volunteer to assist in providing healthly snacks for parents and children.
We also require someone to repair and clean play equipment and toys.
There is also the opportunity to just play and interact with the children attending.
Do you require language proficiency other than in English? Any language is accepted. We are a diverse community .
What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer? Almost any commitment is accepted, but families do require time to develope relationships with a volunteer so 3 -6 months is prefered.
Are there any specific skills and experience required? Must be kid friendly and have no issues with noise. The playroom can get very busy and load.
Is there any training provided for volunteers? Yes. We do an orientation with all volunteers. We assess what they want to do before we look at additional trainig.
How will a person benefit from volunteering with Tri City Family Place? Skills in developing relationships with families. Begin to understand the issues facing young children and their families. Also develope an understanding of child development.
Do you accept high school students? Yes. We often have High School students.
