What services does your organization provide?
SAS offers supported housing through to independent living, a recovery-oriented life skills classroom, job training and work experience, child care services for the children while their moms attend class and/or job training, and follow care services and support (Career Network, post-secondary supports). SAS is one of the only programs offering long-term residential housing and recovery oriented programs to women who have children in their care, allowing them to seek help without having to place their children into the foster care system.

Do you have any age requirements?
Volunteers must be 16 years of age

Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No.

What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Volunteer commitments are flexibe based on the area.

Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Volunteers must complete and pass an Alberta Child Intervention check as well as a Police Criminal check.

Are there any specific skills and experience required?
SAS has a variety of opportunities for volunteers so can match experience to area of need.

There may be some general training in the area if needed.
