What services does your organization provide? Volunteers contribute their time, talent and skills to support the hospital's interprofessional team in delivering key patient programs and optimal patient care.
Do you have any age requirements? 15
Do you require language proficiency other than in English? No.
What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Friendly Visitor - Provide companionship to patients.
Pet Therapy Volunteer - See assigned patients on a unit to provide one on one interaction between patient and pet.
Activation Therapy Volunteer - Provide support to Activation Therapy staff during scheduled patient programs.
Patient Out Trip Volunteer - Support the Activation Therapy staff during monthly Patient Out Trips.
Mealtime Assistance Volunteer - Distribute meal trays at meal times and provide tray set up to assigned patients.
Physiotherapy Exercise Group Volunteer - Porter patients to and from their Physiotherapy Exercise Group and assist with equipment set up and clean up.
Hairdresser Aide Volunteer - Porter patients to and from the hair salon as well as assist to provide manicures under the direction of the Activationist.
