It could be 3-4 hours to help with a special event or a commitment of 1 or more hours per week on a regular basis. We leave the choice to the volunteer.

Clean Criminal Record check.

Are there any specific skills and experience required?
It varies, sometimes we just need a friendly person to sit and chat with a person in a Seniors' residence. It could be a treasurer needed or assistance in an office. We look for gardeners and handymen. There is no limit.

Friendly visitors; gardeners, handymen, office assistance; treasurers, drivers; activity helps in seniors residences; assistance at baby clinics, assistance with community run programs; search and rescue; volunteer firemen; bakers; sidewalkers for therapeutic riding association.

The organizations provide training when necessary.
