What services does your organization provide? Concerts, arts and entertainment
Do you have any age requirements? 16
Do you require language proficiency other than in English? Not at this time
What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer? Approx. 10 - 15 hours during a concert weekend. Includes set up and tear down, ticket table, ushering, flyering and other advertising in the area
Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer? Just commitment. We have had people promise their time and then not show up at the last minute. We need people who will be there when they say so and fulfill their duties.
Are there any specific skills and experience required? No
What type of volunteer positions are typically available? Ushers - 3 per concert, Stage helpers - 4 per concert, tickets/raffle - 2 per concert
Is there any training provided for volunteers? No training really needed as General Manager is there to oversee and advise.
What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization? None
How will a person benefit from volunteering with Oakville Chamber Orchestra? Get behind the scenes of an orchestra concert, get to see the concert for free and help support a local community orchestra
