Volunteer Information for Circle F Horse Rescue Society

What services does your organization provide?
Opportunities for volunteers to care for the horses and look after the facilities, all organizational detail and fund development.


Do you have any age requirements?
Love of horses, experience with horse and shelter care, take responsibility with two others for a two hour shift.
For some volunteers to have leadership, office, communication and management skills.


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Children, comfortable with horse,can come with a parent our guardian who is responsible to work with the child and to supervise the child.
Teenagers are welcome, but need to be able to arrive independently.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
No.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Volunteers need to be self motivated, resourceful, work well with a team, understand horses, physically fit,willing to engage in all tasks such as shelter care, feeding, grooming, health care and exercising of the horse.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Two hours a week, with additional time for those on various tasks and leadership assignments.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Two hour shift to feed and look after the horses.
Organizational tasks.


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Volunteer are given an initial orientation to Circle F, then assigned to a team where they receive hands on training from the experienced volunteers.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Shelter cleaning, feeding of horses, grooming, health care, facility care, exercising of horses, receiving of new horses, adopting out horses, site visits, organizational detail, fund raising events,
