Book buddies is a literacy based program to give extra help to children 5-10 who struggle with reading. The program has volunteers paired up with children, and they read with them, play games and encourage their reading. Volunteers meet at the library for one hour a week, from July 2- Aug 28th.

Do you have any age requirements? You have to be at least 17 and we require a Criminal police check.
What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer? We expect a volunteer to commit to one hour a week.
Do you provide training for volunteers? We give the volunteers training on how the program works, were to find resources, and how to use them. There is always someone at the library to help the volunteer should they need it.
