Prerequisites for Graduate Studies in Geochemistry |
Admission to the graduate-level programs in geochemistry (McMaster, USask, UManitoba) requires a previous degree in a related discipline (eg. chemistry, geology) with a minimum B+ average (in some cases this must be an honors degree). Some form of advanced training in a geochemistry environment, such as directed studies or industry experience, is an asset.
Admission to the PhD programs can either be gained after completion of a related BSc with an average of A- and an aptitude for research, or after completing a relevant Master's-level degree.
