Introduction The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law (Common Law Section) is Canada's largest bilingual law school. The Faculty is particularly known for its specialization in the areas of comparative law, human rights, international law, and law and technology, and is home to the four research institutes of Centre for Trade Policy and Law, CGA Tax Research Centre, Emerging Dynamic Global Economies Network, and Human Rights Research and Education Centre.
Moreover, the Faculty houses the Brian Dickson Law Library, which has more than 200,000 volumes and 750 periodicals including many important and special collections like the Edward Greenspan Collection on Capital Punishment and Torys LLP's Technology Law Collection. The Faculty is committed to dismantling physical, such as disabilities, race, and sex, and monetary barriers which may otherwise deny qualified individuals from attaining legal education by implementing various equity and financial aid programs.
