University of Ottawa Law SchoolMooting and Clinical ProgramsThe Faculty of Law also offers many experiential learning opportunities through which students may develop and hone their practical skills, particularly their respective advocacy, argumentative, and lawyering abilities. Such occasions for practical learning is primarily available through the various advocacy, clinical, internship, and research programs offered by the Faculty. For example, students may participate in national, international, and in-house mooting competitions, judicial clerkships, Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. Participation in the Clinic may be used as a substitute for the moot court component of the LL.B. program. Students who wish to garner editorial experience may work for the Ottawa Law Review, the Faculty's legal journal.
