Six schools in Canada offer a power engineering program: BCIT (diploma of technology), Ryerson University, University of Manitoba, University of Alberta, University of Waterloo, and University of Western Ontario.
Admission to BCIT's diploma program requires the completion of high school with English, math, and physics (all with at least 60%). Chemistry is recommended. Upgrading options are available for those who have not completed high school or are missing prerequisites.
UWO is the only school that offers an undergraduate degree in power engineering. High school completion is required with an average of at least 80% in English, chemistry, and physics. Calculus is recommended.
