Research in pediatrics is generally clinically based, with case histories of patients being used as the foundation for new methodologies, procedures, and treatment of diseases. Research is in all subspecialties of pediatrics, and includes neurological disorders, heart disease, diabetes, hepatitis, nutrition, cancer, and vaccination research.
