What is Sociology?

Sociology is the study of societies and tries to determine the laws governing human behavior in social contexts. It is concerned with economic, social, political, and religious group activities. Sociologists study such areas as bureaucracy, community, public opinion, social change, and social stratification.

Specific areas of sociology include social psychology, human ecology, demography, sociological theory, and applied sociology.

About Sociology

Sociology is a branch of social sciences and is similar to anthropology in that both study humanity. However, sociology focuses on societies while anthropology focuses more on cultures. Sociology also has similarities with political science, economics, and psychology
