What is Cognitive Science?Cognitive science is the study of thought, learning, and mental organization. It includes the study of the human mind, animal mind, and artificial intelligence. A central tenet of cognitive science is that studying only a single level cannot attain a complete understanding of the mind and brain. The three levels of analysis are the computational theory, specifying the goals of the computation; representation and algorithm, giving a representation of the input and output and the algorithm which transforms one into the other; and the hardware implementation, how algorithm and representation may be physically realized.
