To be admitted to a graduate Master's-level program in cognitive science, students must have an undergraduate degree in a related field, such as psychology, philosophy, or computer science, with at least a B+ average. Additional experience in cognitive science, such as that gained through industry experience or directed studies, is an asset. PhD-level studies require a Master's-level degree in a related field. In all graduate cases, students must have chosen a supervisor prior to final admission. Some schools may require results from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
