Equity and Human Rights @ British Columbia - Canadian Universities
One of the administrative units at some schools is the Equity (or Human Rights) Office. In Canada, about 44% of post-secondary schools have such an office. This Office provides an independent and confidential service, and is also empowered to investigate complaints as well as facilitate or negotiate solutions. They deal with issues related to harassment and discrimination based on race, citizenship, creed, sex, age, marital status, or disability. The Office is usually open to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to that school. [more] - Equity and Human Rights in Canadian Universities
