With campuses at Durham, Peterborough, and Oshawa, Ontario, Trent University is dedicated to keeping its student enrollment low in order to keep its students per teacher ratio low so as to enable individual focus on each student’s educational needs. Over 80% of classes at Trent University have less than 25 students and graduates have traditionally had a high degree of success with, on average, over 90% finding employment in their chosen field(s). An agreement between Trent University and Queen’s University at Kingston allows graduate students of the latter to take for credit instruction at the former to be taught by Trent faculty.

Trent University has 34 programs from across the faculties of Arts, Business, Education, and Science and Technology comprising 19 individual disciplines, 8 interdisciplinary degrees, and 7 graduate programs. The University has continuing education opportunities offering personal and professional development courses and certificates including Business and Organizational Communications, Conflict Resolution, Leadership Development, and Teaching English as a Second Language. Trent University also has the Summer Explorations in Canadian Cultures (SECC) multidisciplinary program of 5,7, or 13-day duration that allows students to expand their knowledge of Canada.
