Most medical schools in Canada offer a medical degree in vascular surgery. Admission is generally contingent on getting a favorable score on the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), ranging from 24 to 30 overall. A grade of A- is also required in the last 2 years of a previous program. Students currently taking an undergraduate degree in any discipline are usually eligible for admission to the MD program; in some cases full completion of the previous degree is mandatory.
Generally, students who are in their final year of medical training are automatically eligible for residency training.
