Of course, many technical theatre graduates go on to professional careers as stage managers and technicians in theatre, film and television, though others may become theatrical producers, set, lighting, costume and sound designers, casting directors, technical directors, arts managers, and teachers. Some may go on to further studies in drama, drama therapy, education, design, arts administration and other performing arts (such as dance, film or music). UBC has a 'What Can I Do With My Major?' page for its Theatrical Production and Design major: http://www.students.ubc.ca/careers/students/get-career-guidance/what-can-i-do-with-my-major/theatre-design-production/ The IATSE (http://www.iatse-intl.org/index_flash.html) is the union representing technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry.
