During rotation a staff radiologist directly supervises the resident. The resident is given graded responsibility for the triaging of requests, performance of studies, and image interpretation depending on the level of training. Practical training includes CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology, neuroradiology, magnetic resonance and pediatric radiology.
The various radiology departments offer a variety of seminars. These include medical ethics, physics, contrast media, research methodology, quality assurance, and hospital administration.
