Most radiology students go on to work in a hospital setting in the radiology or diagnostic imaging department, or in the emergency room or operating room when necessary. Radiologists with a preference towards leadership can seek positions in an administrative capacity as a chief radiologist, clinical co-ordinator, or program director.
Other places such as nursing homes and medical laboratories have need of radiology students. Positions such as radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, and medical imaging scientists are possible with a radiology degree.
There are also positions as sales representatives or application specialists (educating those who use the new equipment) with equipment manufacturers.
