Students start off by taking courses in the theory and research of PMR. Rotations consist of theory and practicum in stroke, amputee, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Other rotations include trauma rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, orthopedics, and psychiatry. Students have the ability to follow patients for months at a time, which allows them to follow the full spectrum of PMR from beginning to finish.
Advanced research methods courses and seminars are also necessary for all PMR students. These cover new advances in PMR, case studies, and research findings.
