What is Physical Chemistry?Physical chemistry is the study of macroscopic, atomic, and particulate phenomena in chemical systems in terms of physical concepts. It applies the principles and concepts of physics such as motion, energy, force, thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, and dynamics.
Physical chemistry is separate from chemical physics, in that physical chemistry focuses on the macroscopic for the most part, whereas chemical physics focuses on the microscopic and theoretical. However, it is not a clean-cut distinction and has many aspects of commonality.
