Paramedic Admission Requirements for Canadian Universities

Prerequisites Needed to Study Paramedic in Canada | |
Certificate and diploma programs in paramedic training are available at many community colleges in Canada. To be admitted, students must have completed high school with English, mathematics, chemistry, and biology, with at least a C average. Students must be certified in First Aid and CPR. Students must pass a physical fitness test and have all necessary immunizations. A police record check is necessary prior to clinical placements. An appropriate driver's license (eg. class 4, class F, etc) is necessary prior to the clinical placement.
Some schools offer undergraduate degrees in paramedicine, such as Medicine Hat College and University of Toronto. To be admitted, students must have a diploma in paramedic training.
