Midwifery is offered as an undergraduate degree program at several schools in Canada. To be admitted, students must have completed high school with English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and a social science, with at least a B average. Students must have certification in First Aid and CPR, as well as current immunizations. A police record check is required prior to clinical placements.
Douglas College also offers courses in doula training. Students must be a member of DONA International.
