To be admitted to a Master's-level program in WGS, students must have completed an undergraduate degree in WGS or related discipline (such as sociology or equity studies) with at least a B+ average. Previous work experience in a WGS environment is considered an asset.
To be admitted to a PhD program in WGS, students must have completed a Master's-level degree in WGS. Some schools will allow direct transfer from an undergraduate degree to a PhD, provided the student has a sufficiently high average (A-) and an aptitude for research.
For all graduate programs, the student must have a prospective supervisor chosen prior to final admission.
