Graduate programs are also available in environmental chemistry. To gain admission to the Master's-level programs, students must have completed an undergraduate degree in a related subject such as chemistry or analytical chemistry, with at least a B+ average. As well, practical experience in environmental chemistry, such as industry experience or directed studies, is an asset.
To get into the PhD programs, students must have completed a Master's-level degree in a related field. Some schools will allow direct entry with an undergraduate degree, provided the student has a very high average (A-) and an aptitude for research.
In all cases the graduate thesis supervisor must be chosen prior to final admission.
