Prerequisites Needed to Study Conflict and War Studies in Canada |
This degree is often offered at the graduate level only, and as such would build on a related degree, usually in one of the social sciences. Entry into such programs is often competitive and dependent both on academic achievement and volunteer experience. Where it is available as an undergraduate degree, the admission requirements would be the same as those of any Arts program, and as such vary from province to province and from institution to institution. However, a strong background in the language of study and high school subjects involving the social sciences is recommended. Volunteer experience with community-building institutions or conflict resolution is not always necessary but would help to prepare a student for the type of work involved.
