Prerequisites Needed to Study Biology in Canada |
Almost every post-secondary school in Canada offers a biology or biological sciences program, resulting in diplomas, undergraduate degrees, and graduate degrees.
For those schools that offer diploma programs in biology, high school completion is required, or equivalent. These diploma programs can ladder into university undergraduate programs if the student desires, so an average of at least B is recommended with the necessary pre-requisite courses.
Undergraduate degrees are available both in Arts (Bachelor of Arts) and Science (Bachelor of Science). High school completion is required with (generally) at least a B average, with courses in English, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology.
