Carleton University President David Atkinson will also deliver short remarks. When: Tuesday September 6, arrival at 3:30 for 4:00 p.m. announcement Where: Room 303 Paterson Hall, Carleton University Background: Almost a year after challenging Ontario post-secondary students to identify the best lecturers in colleges and universities throughout the province, TVOntario Chair and CEO Isabel Bassett will announce the 10 finalists. Having previously shortlisted the 258 nominations to 30, the judges - columnist Robert Fulford, playwright Andrew Moodie, and Literary Review of Canada editor Bronwyn Drainie - have now agreed upon the province's top 10 lecturers. The finalists will deliver their lectures on TVO's Big Ideas-two lectures a week for five weeks, beginning Saturday, October 8, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. with the two lectures repeated Sunday at the same time.
