Fall 2005 Ceremony

The Wilfrid Laurier University Fall 2005 Convocation Ceremony:

The Fall 2005 Convocation ceremony of Wilfrid Laurier University will be held at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2005. Graduands should be at the complex at 12:30 p.m. and report to the Marshalls for the procession. Please consult the map for directions to the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex on 101 Father David Bauer Drive.

The Official Senate List of Graduates is now available. This list includes only those students cleared to graduate on or before Sept 22, 2005. Graduates cleared later appear on the convocation program now available.
Graduates and their guests do NOT require tickets for the ceremony - seating is on a first come first serve basis. The arena seats 3,500 which should accommodate all who wish to participate. Contact gnsyder@wlu.ca; for special needs seating.

Graduation Participation Card:
The Convocation Participation Card is enclosed with your graduation package which has been mailed to the home address of all students who have cleared to graduate on October 6, 2005. Many are mailed later in October as grades are received or outstanding accounts are paid. The procession card must be presented at the Waterloo Recreation Complex on Father David Bauer Drive on October 28, 2005 in order for you to join the convocation procession. Should you misplace this card, a duplicate will be available at the complex prior to the ceremony.

Degree Distribution - Fall 2005:
The degrees will be distributed at the receptions following the ceremony, or they can be picked up at the Office of the Registrar after November 1, 2005. If you are unable to attend the ceremony and have not made arrangements in writing to pick up your degree/diploma, your degree/diploma will automatically be couriered at our expense to your permanent address on record in the Office of the Registrar.

Gown and Hood Rental:
Rental of the gown and hood will take place on Friday, October 28, 2005 on the WLU campus. Click to the Laurier Bookstore information Web page. Return the gown and hood between 4 and 6 p.m. (tentative), following the receptions.
