New Brunswick Community College - Saint John Established: 1963 (Originally called The Saint John Technical Institute) Number of Students About 3,663 Programs New Brunswick Community College at Saint John offers a wide range of over 25 academic education and career/technical programs leading to certificates, diplomas, and/or university transfers. The College offers over 17 trades-related skills training opportunities consisting of ten 3-year co-operative education options and 7 apprenticeships. Notable among the latter is the Motor Vehicle Body Repairer and Painter program that, as of 2005, provides students with training regarding coatings on Dupont Performance Coatings equipment and materials; this is the only such program in southern New Brunswick. Additionally, the College provides customized contract training to businesses, industries, and organizations as well as many academic, personal, and professional courses and programs via Continuing Education. Interesting Facts New Brunswick Community College at Saint John maintains close partnerships with many businesses and industries, and graduates of the College have traditionally had much success in finding employment after finishing their studies. |
