Yorkville University Yorkville University is private and non-denominational, specializing in practice oriented graduate level academic programs. Yorkville University's academic year is organized on a trimester basis, with three terms of fifteen weeks each, plus breaks for each calendar year. Three-credit online courses are generally completed in one five-week session. Generally, full-time students enroll in three courses (9-10 credits) each trimester. Students take courses one at a time, in a sequence that is defined for the program in which they are enrolled.
