The Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc., Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada has been providing training to students in massage therapy since 1978, and is a reputed college for its sports massage therapy courses. It has more than 75 years of experience in Osteopathic Medicine. It is one of the first private vocational schools for massage in Saskatchewan. Western College is affiliated with the Wellington coellge and the two colleges interact closely in their fields of study. Western College provides the same training programs as Wellington College in Winnipeg Manitoba. It was Mr. Ellingson of Western College who founded the college in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc. is a member of the Canadian Council of Massage Therapy Schools and the Council of Schools (USA). The college provides financial assistance such as bursaries and scholarships enabling students to afford an education. It also offers interest free loans to its students. The International society of the L.C.S.P. has accredited all the programs offered by the institution. The Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc. provides training in Massage and Massage Therapy, Sports Massage Therapy, Manual Therapy and Continued Education. The Full Time program lasts for two years and is known as the Remedial Massage Therapy Program. Upon its completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Provincial exams to qualify and practice massage therapy. The Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc. offers CPR and First Aid re-certification at a low cost to all alumni. All the instructors have years of practical experience and are certified educators. The curriculum is reviewed and updated to ensure that students learn the latest techniques and skills.
