Atlantic Transport Training Academy Ltd offers Long and Short Haul Class 1 drivers training programs that have CTHRC accreditation. The students are trained by qualified and professionally trained instructors who are friendly and dedicated. They ensure that the students are trained well for their employment in the current as well as the future trucking industry. Atlantic Transport Training Academy Ltd maintains a modern fleet of transport trucks & trailers that are serviced regularly and well maintained to ensure the safety of the students and the instructors. The heavy equipments are leased to ensure that the students train in the latest gadgets. The TranSim VS II, Driving Simulator is also available to ensure that the students experience real-world trucking environment in the safety of the classroom. The students who complete the training are confident and ready for employment in the trucking industry as they are taught to handle the vehicles with precision. Financial assistance such as Canadian student loans, lines of credit offered by various banks, FCS assistance etc. is available. Classes commence at the beginning of each month. Half the time is spent in classrooms and the other half in the field. Only three students are assigned per truck and one week of each course consists of training during the night. Students will initially practice in the yard learning to back up and maneuver the truck. Once they have mastered that they will practice in actual traffic. Some courses have a 4 week internship program.
