As a response to the AIDS crisis in Africa, and inspired by Stephen Lewis, Edzimkulu, A Society for Children of AIDS was an active Canadian charity based in Edmonton, Alberta from 2003 to 2014. We provided health care focused on HIV/AIDS and HIV prevention, orphan support, gender equality, and early childhood education in the small village of Ndawana, South Africa.
