Prerequisites for Graduate Studies in Algebra

UCalgary and UBC Okanagan offer graduate programs in algebra and number theory. To be admitted to the Master's programs, students must have an undergraduate degree in a related field such a pure mathematics with at least a B average. To get admitted to the PhD programs, students must have a Master's degree in pure mathematics, algebra, or number theory. In all cases the supervisor must be chosen prior to final admission.
