Description of Youth Assisting Youth Youth Assisting Youth is a non-for-profit charitable organization that gives youth an opportunity to volunteer in their community and provide a peer mentoring service to improve the life prospects for newcomer and at risk youth.
We need youth aged 16 to 29 yrs, especially males to mentor younger youth on a one to one basis. Youth particularly from Etobicoke, Scarborough, Mississauga and York Region are sought.
Youth from Brampton are also needed to mentor kids that are active and/or socially challenged.
As well as youth from North York and Downtown Toronto who are willing to work with kids that have a(n)hearing impairment.
VOLUNTEER MENTOR DESCRIPTION:
As a mentor you provide positive support, coaching and leadership to youth on a one-to-one basis.
Become a mentor at YAY, share your wisdom, skills, and hobbies and inspire a kid to stay on the right track. You will gain a valuable experience through this exchange!!!
In just 3 hours a week, on your own schedule you can contribute to a kid's well being, and build your resume.
Mentoring is all about setting a good example and having fun with a child! You will both benefit!!!
