Description of The Odyssey Program / Le Programme Odyssée To promote the study of Canada's official languages, the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, created the Odyssey Program.
Odyssey is a paid work experience in a school environment in francophone (or anglophone) region of Canada. From the beginning of September to the end of May, you will work as a language assistant in an elementary, secondary or post-secondary school to encourage young people to improve their knowledge of the English (or French) language and culture. Under the supervision of a teacher, you will prepare classroom activities that focus on learning language and culture and you will motivate students to speak their second official language.
