Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology Established: 1967 Number of Students Programs The Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology offers over 62 fulltime academic and career-oriented programs leading to degrees, diplomas, and/or certificates and more than 40 additional programs via Continuing Education. The College provides 2 bachelor degree options in Human Services Management and in Nursing; the latter is a collaborative effort between the College and Brock University in which students take the first 2 years of study at the former and complete the remaining 2 years at the latter. Apprenticeships are also available through the College in Automotive Services, Early Childhood Education, and Food Services. The College’s Loyalist Training & Development Centre (LTDC) makes available customized training to employers and employees including Microsoft- and CISCO-certified training packages designed to prepare individuals for employment in the information technology field. Loyalist College offers unique double diploma programs for graduates; these are pairings of related programs allowing a graduate of a 2-year program to complete a second diploma program faster, usually in 1 month. Additionally, the College has in excess of 75 university transfer agreements that provide students with the opportunity to transfer to university to continue their education. Such transfer agreements enable students to earn a diploma at the College and then apply those credits earned towards a degree at a university.
