Programs
Algonquin College offers over 130 career-oriented degrees, diplomas, and certificates from the Schools of Advanced Technology, Business, Health and Community Studies, Hospitality and Tourism, Media and Design, and Transportation and Building Trades along with the Algionquin College Heritage Institute, Algonquin College in Ottawa Valley, Algonquin College Language Institute, and Police and Public Safety Institute. The aforementioned programs are designed to train students in the vocational skills needed to succeed in the modern workplace via a mixture of classroom instruction and practical work experience at relevant institutions. Among the more notable offerings are bachelor degrees in Applied Business in e-Business or Supply Chain Management, in Applied Arts in Interior Design, and in Applied Technology in Photonics. The College also has bachelor degrees offered in collaboration with various universities in Computer Engineering Technology in Networking, Information Technology in Interactive Multimedia and Design, and Nursing.. Additionally, Algonquin College students in selected diploma programs are allowed to transfer credits earned in their respective programs towards a bachelor degree at a university in Canada or abroad with which the College has a formal transfer agreement.

Algonquin College, the largest community college in Eastern Ontario, is best known for its technology-enhanced instruction and training, and it is emerging as leader in the fields of engineering and telecommunications. The College strives to maintain strong relationships with businesses not only to ensure the viability of its co-op offerings but also to be successful in helping students find employment upon graduation. Traditionally, graduates have had a high degree of success in finding employment in their chosen fields. The College’s main campus is in Ottawa with other campuses in Perth and Pembroke.
