Regent College was established in the province of British Columbia in 1968. It currently offers a range of diploma and Masters programs as well as a line of specialized study courses. The college is affiliated with the University of British Columbia and is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. All prospective students undergo a three day orientation program before embarking on their studies. This orientation program helps students understand the academic set up of the college and also gives them an opportunity to interact with faculty members and other students. A fall retreat is also held in which students are encouraged to bring their families along for a time of fellowship and prayer. Regent College currently offers its students a diploma and a Master's course in Christian studies. A Master of divinity and a Master of theology course are also available. Students can also choose from courses in Anglican studies, Chinese studies and Continuing studies. A program in marketplace theology is also offered. The Regent College campus is home to the Lookout Gallery, which features solo and group exhibitions of different kinds of art. The Regent-Carey Library is home to one of the biggest theological collections in Western Canada housing over 180,000 pieces of resource material. The college offers students the use of computer labs, individual mailboxes and lockers, recreational facilities and student counseling services. Students are encouraged to take part in worship and community groups in order to build stronger bonds of fellowship and spirituality. See also:
