McMaster Divinity College was established in 1957 though its origin dates back to the 1800s. It is currently located in the province of Ontario and offers a range of professional and advanced degree programs as well as diploma and certificate courses. It is accredited by the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education and the Association of Theological Schools. It is also affiliated to McMaster University. The programs offered at McMaster Divinity College are geared toward equipping students for a life within the church or ministry. In keeping with this goal, cultivating a spiritual relationship with God is an integral part of college life. A number of Christian organizations use the college campus for numerous activities, thus bringing students closer to various wings of the Christian community. Special events and worship are also held regularly. The college currently offers a certificate in Christian studies as well as a Diploma program in Ministry. A Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Theological Studies degree is also available. Advanced students may pursue a PhD in Christian Theology or Master of Arts in Christian Studies. McMaster Divinity College offers health services to its students as well as guidance with employment and career planning. An off-campus housing office is available to help students find accommodation in the area. There are also a range of athletic facilities for student use, including a fitness centre and swimming pool.
