Founded in 1936, Columbia Bible College is located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. The college provides courses in Christian faith formation and prepares students for professional ministry work in service of the Church. The college also plays an important role in the functioning of local Churches. Columbia Bible College offers degree, diploma and certificate programs, which are aimed at people of all ages. The 4 year Bachelor of Arts degree program is available for biblical studies, care giving and counseling, intercultural studies, outdoor leadership, worship arts and youth work. Students can also major in the same subjects in the 2 year diploma program. The college also offers 1 year certificate programs called iCert - (Certificate in Christian Studies) and Quest-(Adventure Discipleship Program). With a library that has 40,000 books, 1,200 video-recordings, 444 compact music discs, 185 DVDs, 1,072 audio-cassettes, 178 periodical subscriptions in print format, plus 230 online journal subscriptions Columbia Bible College also acts as a resource center for theological research in the region. The purpose of STUCO is to serve and lead the students of Columbia Bible College. The members of STUCO do this by being visionary Christian leaders, demonstrating and encouraging Christ-like behavior and creating an environment that fosters good friendship and communal harmony. They also encourage and enable students to involve and interact with the general student body, faculty/staff, and the wider community.
