The Canadian English Language Institute offers English language training to newcomers and international students. The institute is located in the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. The English language course teaches you language skills that are necessary to get employment or to complete further education in a college that has English as the medium of instruction. Other than reading and writing, you will also be taught to speak with the proper pronunciation and listen carefully to understand. The instructors will teach you new learning strategies and organizational skills to prepare you for the TOEFL examination. The Canadian English Language Institute also organizes field trips, guest lectures, and class discussions to broaden the students’ horizons. Students are also taught about work culture, employers’ expectations, and safety in the office. Students are made to practice writing a resume and answer questions at a job interview to make the process of getting a job easier. The curriculum also involves training in first aid and computer applications like MS office, Internet, and email. Students who qualify are eligible to apply for financial assistance from the Student Finance Board. Full-time students are given on-the-job training for four months to make them job-ready. The course is also available on a part-time evening basis. Students with proficiency in English have a wide variety of job options in English speaking countries like Britain, Canada, the U.S., or Australia.
