Profile of Career College/Trade School
Bredin Institute – Centre for Learning is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 and dedicated to successful employment training and development by providing innovative, flexible programs; by treating people with dignity and respect; and by responding to the economic needs of the individual and the community. Bredin Institute offers employment assistance programs to youth, adults and newcomers to Canada. Our training programs are responsive to the labour market requirements of our community and include licensed certificates in the health care field, entry level trades, foreign credential bridging, health and safety certificates and personal development. Some of Bredin Institute’s employment and training programs are funded by Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Service Canada, and Citizen and Immigration Canada, while others are fee for service. Our students come from all industry sectors with varying levels of education and a wide spectrum of experience and skills. We have offices and training facilities in downtown Edmonton, south side Edmonton at Bonnie Doon Mall, in Spruce Grove, Alberta, and with future expansion of services to be offered in Calgary, Alberta.
